Among the many questions people ask about Reiki, the most common ones are:
“What does Reiki work for?”
“Can Reiki cure illnesses?”
These types of questions come up frequently.
While I’d love to simply say “Yes, it can heal,” there are risks in making such claims—especially because I want people to think about how healing actually works in the body.
And the truth is, no matter who you are, it’s impossible to guarantee that Reiki can cure every illness.
Even doctors don’t “cure” illnesses outright—they offer treatment methods. It’s up to you to decide what to do with your body. Doctors are best seen as people who make suggestions, not as miracle workers.
What can Reiki therapy actually do?
It balances the flow of energy (ki) within the body.
It replenishes areas where energy is lacking.
Reiki therapy is a form of energy healing and it allows for safe energy balancing.
So, what are the benefits of balanced energy?
Improved sleep quality
A more positive mood
Relief from muscle tension and stiffness
Enhanced circulation of energy throughout the body, often resulting in a warm sensation
Most people who experience Reiki report these effects. As a result, many say:
Their pain was reduced
Their headaches disappeared
Menstrual cycles resumed after long absences
They no longer needed sleeping pills
Their physical tension was relieved
These kinds of experiences are very common.
Among them, “I was finally able to sleep” is one of the most frequent and joyful comments we receive.
There’s an old saying: “Sleep it off.”
When Reiki improves your condition, you begin to understand just how important the quality of sleep really is.
In recent years, many people have reported that even after sleeping, their physical discomfort doesn’t improve the next day.
This is clear evidence that sleep quality has declined. Through Reiki, we hope people can truly feel how much their sleep improves.
If you’re considering long-term healing, each case is different. But receiving Reiki—especially when your mind and body are in SOS mode—is something I strongly recommend. What’s more, Reiki can be learned and practiced by anyone, which is perhaps its greatest appeal.
Many therapies are highly specialized, and people often think they must rely on experts to benefit from them. But Reiki is something anyone can learn and apply.
Reiki teachers and therapists who have trained for years are indeed professionals. If you’re going to receive or learn Reiki, make sure to find the best one for you.
Reiki can be safely practiced even if you’re receiving other treatments at a hospital.
It’s something you can do with your own hands, requires no special tools, and is an incredibly eco-friendly and effective therapy.
Please give healing hands a try!
